Introductions: Daniel Lein

Today we introduce Daniel Lein. Welcome to the team Daniel.

Daniel Lein is a sophomore in Engineering Sciences with a focus on Electrical Engineering at Dartmouth College. He has been interested in aerospace, especially rocketry, for as long as he can remember, and he was introduced to the BARREL project and space physics by Prof. Robyn Millan, who was his physics professor for two terms. He joined the BARREL team this past spring, initially just to help out with the preparations for the 2016 campaign in Kiruna. As he became more interested in space physics and balloon experiments, he decided to join the team for part of the campaign in Sweden, and he hopes to continue work in the field of space physics by examining and analyzing data collected from this and previous campaigns. When he’s not working, Daniel enjoys alpine ski racing, SCUBA Diving, reading, and watching American football. After his time at Dartmouth, he hopes to continue on to graduate school and work in the aerospace industry.
